Evening lip care routine

Hi beauties!
I have been reading a lot recently about people's daily lip care routines, and what products they use.
I decided to do a post on it myself, which will be my first beauty regime post, excited! You will have to forgive the photo quality, as I lost my camera a while back, and am currently saving up to buy a new one, so my phone camera will have to do for a while.

As I said, do forgive the quality!
Okay, so I use two products every evening to give my lips smoothness, moisture and to help prevent (and sometimes, get rid of) chapped lips. I am one of those people who all year round, will have chapped lips, that split all the time, and are in constant agony. I did a bit of online research, and came across several reviews for the Lush bubblegum lip scrub.

Okay so my photography will get better, I promise!

This lip scrub is the best product I have ever used to get rid of the chapness? I don't even know if that's a word! Well, it is terrific at getting rid of the dead skin on your lips. It is made of caster sugar and jojoba oil, and is wonderfully moisturising, but not the sort of moisturising that leaves your lips feeling greasy or oily. This product is perfect to use before applying lipstick, as it will prevent the lipstick from causing chapness, that miraculous word again! This product is 100% edible, so make sure you have a good lick, of your lips that is, naughty, as it tastes fantastic.

The second product I use, is Nivea Hydro Care lip balm. I tried to take a picture, but it's half past two in the morning, and my phone just wasn't having it so to heck with the blasted thingymabob. This lip balm is enriched with Aloe Vera, so it really supports your lips natural moisture, so used with the lip scrub, acts as a barrier to really ensure that the smoothness gained from the scrub stays put, and no more chaps can appear.

I use these two products every evening, in the morning after I have brushed my teeth, I do use the lip balm as a base for my lipsticks, as I find it acts as a great foundation for a lovely shiny finish.
I would love to hear about other peoples lip routines, so if you have one, pop it in the comments!

G'night!xx

Growing up?

Hello beauts!
I've come to that stage in life, where every teenager wants to become an adult. I am 17, which isn't too far off adulthood, but still too far away. I don't want to become an adult just to be able to drink, go clubbing, watch 18 movies at the cinema without having to take an adult, buy cigarettes or drink, but to have the independence that comes with age. I'd absolutely love to have a job, sturdy annual income and the ability to just pick myself up and go places. Every teenager/young adult has times of experimentation, with drink, drugs, sex etc. but I experienced that at a much younger age, so the thought of growing up for me is just purely to have my own life, not one that has to be shared with mums. But don't people say that teenage years are the best years of your life? Doesn't feel like it! Would love some comments below so I know I'm not the only teen that feels like this?
G'day xx

Starting from the bottom

Welcome! This little glorious piece of internet is selfishly dedicated to all things beauty, fashion and general Shannonzaraness! I love anything to do with candles, fairy lights and glitter. I hope to one day be a professional makeup artist, and have created this blog to share with you stories, tips and techniques I have learnt and stolen from fellow bloggers. I one day would love to meet other bloggers, to swap tips, beauty regiments, styles and to have a wide variety of internet friends.
Here's to new chapters, and a whole piece of internet just for moi!
G'day xx
